Formations
A kinda easy way to make formations for TDS games, espescially space shooters or RTS's. Most of the scripts are commented as well as how to make a formation work. Tell me any things you can think of to add. I'm all out of ideas right now.

confusing. Make it easier to understand and make it so you can rotate formations (useful for RTS's)

Yea, its definetely not noob friendly. You should know how to use loops and arrays very well to use this. I'll see what I can do to make it easier though.

Hasn't the concept of Formations in strategy games been exampled to death as it is?
#3 Posted by Requiem on November 27, 2006 at 06:04 pm

No, I haven't seen 1 example on formations.

I'm just saying. Don't call someone a noob who obviously knows more than you. And that was a really smart remark.

As a matter of a fact, he can't even make a workable inventory!

Yes, I did, I shouldn't have, but I did call Abacus a noob. And for that, I am sorry. -Flea

People only call others n00b as a way of bringing themselves up and pulling the others down.... makes the fall much more painful when you get called a n00b yourself. -Rhys

Like I said, I am sorry. I didn't want to bring myself up, I just can't stand Abacus. <_< -Flea

Come on guys, we can all get along.

Not as useful as I had expected. This requires you to make a formation by yourself, and doesn't automaticly give a new formation to different numbers of units.

That would be quite complicated, unlees you want completely random groups of objects.

I've made formations with my RTS games before, but it's pretty hard. I'll give credit for trying. But it can be useful. I'll give 8/10.
