This is Metroid: Bounty! I confess, it has no real plot yet, but what it lacks in plot, it MORE than makes up for with a very robust engine and unique gameplay! I hope you'll enjoy my 3 years of hard, hard work.
Here are some of the many many features in the game:
A detailed map system for locating your location.
Unique, upgradeable beam weapons that stack on top of each other.
Beautiful detailed particle effects
Lots of 3-D effects and sprites
Lock-on targeting system
Mouse-controlled aiming
Super Metroid style Scan Visor, for collecting information about the environment
A wide assortment of traditional and brand-new Metroid series items:
Traditional items:
Screw Attack
Space Jump
High Jump Boots
Missiles + Expansions
Speed Booster + Shinespark
Morph ball + Bombs
Power Bombs
Grapple Beam
Scan Visor
New Items:
Sonic Beam (Bounces off walls)
Leech Beam: (Heals Samus)
Annihilation Beam (Triples beam strength)
Beam Power Boosts (Boost beam strength by 20% each)
Time Suit & Ghost Suit Upgrades
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: I just got the morph ball and high jump boots. Now what?
A: Go back up to the room before the room where you learned how to scan.
Q: There's a beam upgrade over the main passage in this tunnel and I can't get to it!
A: Try shooting wildly all over the place.
Q: I just got the space jump, now what?
A: Go get the screw attack. Go back a room and take the upper door.
Q: I got to the bottom of a long vertical tunnel with a bunch of Rippers, and there's a balance scale type thing. How do I work it?
A: Get the Grapple Beam. It's not hidden particularly well or anything.
Q: HOW DO I KILL THIS GIANT METROID?!
A: Try scanning the environment. Think hard about it for a moment.
BIG HINT: Try shooting something OTHER than the metroid.
Please guys, can you make your comments understandable and helpful? Just warning you, from now on I'm deleting stupid comments.
too...much...lol
really good game. i didn't really get into it much but i'm sure other people will. I don't really hand out 10's unless i really like something though, but this is exceptional. 9/10
@psycho: ur psycho. lol jk. it goes on. run into the wall with the missle-orb-thing behind it and use that to destroy the blocks at the bottom, and go on.
Nice, but the Doublejumping was annoying, I think it was more of an combination between variable jumping and the double jumping that made it annoyin.
Still trying to defeat the boss, but it's a bit difficult to avoid him since I'm bad at doublejumping.

Honestly, the graphics look professional, while the mechanics are disappointing. The jumping was clunky beyond clunky, and it really destroyed the game completely off. I couldn't paly it for long after trying my first double jump. It went INSTANTLY from fantastic, beautiful and professional quality game to clunky and buggy game in less than 30 seconds. 6/10.

Wow, I found some glitches....
K, when you get the morph ball and you get the seconds missle expansion, you use the morph ball bombs to bomb yourself to the bottom of the map... (this is right before the place where you learn how to use the Q button)....
I got all the way down and when I tried bombing myself to the top, it didn't work....
Graphics: 10/10 no miss matching graphics they all blend well.
Sound: 8/10 it was ok some sounds sounded fuzzy.
Game Play: 6/10 Well i don't disagree when people say its the best out there.
I dont know if anyone remembers pogo's metroid game... back in the day of gm5 it was considered to be a godly metroid game.
anyway back to the point i feel that the game was far to short. you got every power up before the first boss.
The escaping the planet gave me a headache... this is the first game ever to get me a headache. And the end where it goes into a space shooter... way to easy, and feels more like a chore then anything. Then there is the standard glitches aka getting stuck in the ground and what not...
half the beams never served a purpose... i got like 3 beam upgrades in like 3mins. You needed more content between upgrades.
There was very little resistance in the game is well. I felt like it was an empty planet.
The suit upgrade served practically no purpose because there were no water levels, there were no ghosts, the only point to getting the suit was for damage reduction which i never really lost any hp at all.
Scan visor was worthless with the exception of its one time use. Hi jump was quickly replaced with screw attack as well...
I will say there is A LOT of stuff you could of done to make this game much much better. But i will also say its the best metroid game I've seen out there so far. I hope you plan on making a sequel.
