I'm a sucker for breakout games.

i was addicted to beating the game though it ended quickly it was a challenge. the way it was made was appealing to the genre but i think the gravity of the fire ball was high and dome times when the ball moved to fast the bat couldn't catch up but thats what made it hard.
8/10 for early rating

I thought this was done really well. You've done a great job on using the mario theme - it all fits so well.
I noticed you say about 'enemies', but I done 3 levels, then i think it ends, yeah? But I didn't see any enemies. Is this something you plan to add? If so I think that will add a good deal of variation to the game.
I didn't notice any of the errors you mention in your help.

I enjoyed it so far, it was challenging, but still quite short - I think this could be really fun if you add more levels, perhaps with enemies on later levels, and maybe a few more types of power-ups (maybe a speed-up powerup? You could use the star power-up and its associated music from the games, maybe?).

Anyway, I say 8/10 so far. Keep up the good work :)

I agree with meow, the ball can move WAY too fast for the character sometimes. Also, the items need to fall much faster than they do now. I know it's like a courtesy to the player, giving them time to get the object, but I found it very frustraiting dividing my time between watching it fall and following the fireball. I also had the pleasure of being hit by the fireball and dying, a nice touch. I didn't see any flaws, so I'll give this one an 8/10 for potential.

I love it... 9/10

The ball went through the safety ground thing once instead of bouncing off like it should (the ground you get with the hammer). Otherwise, pretty good. Two days ago if someone had said something about Mario Breakout, i would have laughed, but now... this is a darn good job. I'd only recommend possibly making earlier levels skinnier so it's easier initially to keep track of the ball, seeing how it bounces sorta eratically.

You do have more than three powerups planned. Right?

This is a pretty good job, but it's a little difficult...

The powerups are good though, and overall it's good. I'm making a breakout game myself...but I think mine is better...just saying that because I think it's the truth...but this is very good too...

9/10...

Oh my god! Since I was a little kid, I wanted to make a game that was exactly like this using a platform as a bat and a fireball as a ball. I wanted to make it with Multimedia Fusion. Let me guess, when you lose, does Mario die by falling out of the screen?

Love it: Great in simplicity.

I've take notes for many of your comments. The next update will features some corrections. For the version 0.60 enemies are finally added and also more levels.

The game is completed now, I take some time to correct few little things. This will be the final touch of my first game. I'm really satified of the result and to have accomplished this little project to 100%. Thank you all for your comments/ratings. Keep them coming. This site is great.

Enjoy. :)
