I've actually had this game completed for a long time (last summer) but never really bothered to submit it officially, other than posting it in the GMG. It is a tribute to the legendary game Ikaruga and features 1 level, as it is a mini-game. It is also my FIRST released game. Some other features include custom key mapping and other minor customizable objects. And a somewhat small hitbox.
EDIT: Updated the game to v.1.4 Final, GM7 engine, also added speed adjustment settings.
The README_FIRST is your best friend, btw.
Enjoy.
Here's a video, if you want to look at it beforehand. Beat the score anyone?
what do suicide bullets do when on?
I don't do as well with it on....
Anyway this was very well done, the gameplay graphics and music all fit nicely. It's quite hard though. 10/10
Bullet eating = points, and you can fill up your charge bar easily, so more chains if you can pull it off. 'Nuff said.

I like all these people saying this is hard while I've been playing Macky & Pentell and Perfect Cherry Blossom.
This is not hard. This is standard.
Babies. XP
Agreed, I've said countless times, this is for seasoned shmup players. That is, if you want to get the uber highest score around. Other than that, I've seen harder games that have no difficulty adjust, yet are still incredibly fun. Although I don't like pure bullet hell like Perfect Cherry Blossom. Those Shanghai Alice games really kill.
Don't worry, any other games I make won't be so "hard".
No one yet to beat my high score, which I still consider lowly :P
But then again I can't say anything, I made the game. Getting perfect chains and good score on hard mode without dying was actually a challenge for me =O
F*** yeah! I finally got off the failure ranking by doing it in hard. I think I died once or twice, but I got a poor rating! Much better than failure... I'll get there one day.
This game is such a fantastic minigame. It's just a game you can go back to time and time again for five whenever you're bored.
I saw this game on GMG some time ago, nice to see it here :)
My opinion is still the same as when I first played it: this is the best shmup made with GM I have ever seen. I'd rate it a 11/10 if I could, but since I can't... well, 10/10. :3

This game is awesome, and I am starting to get the hang of it. It isn't that hard if you know how to play. This deserves a instant 10/10 for it's amazing graphics, menu, re-playability, and overall amusingness.
256MBram could run it and I liked the gimmick, gave it lots of depth
Fun to try go through it without taking any shots
The GFX arn't even just BlendMode whoring, they're themed and ordered
