Picture Melter
Ooh, melty! Pick a picture, and it melts it (sort of). Best on images around 640x480, but works either way. Should I bother making it better? ~Tizzy <3

Hey, wow, that's pretty cool. Definitely work on this, might be useful for some post-processing effects. 8/10

8? 7? Seriously, this is a neat effect, could be great as a transition effect, like entering a battle in an RPG, not hard to speed up either, so I'm gonna give it a 9! :D
#3 Posted by Nighthawk on March 13, 2008 at 03:36 pm

Yes it is too slow
#4 Posted by TWAL INT on March 13, 2008 at 03:53 pm

Cool I didn't find it slow or anything. Would be cool in a program with other picture effects. You should make the possibility to save the picture at any moment during the process then. 8/10

Doesn't lag at all, so 10/10
#6 Posted by edmunn on March 13, 2008 at 04:47 pm

Pretty neat, and runs fast for me =D
#7 Posted by marbs on March 13, 2008 at 05:22 pm

EDIT: I deleted my old post. I ran it again and ran faster O.o I'll bump it up 2.. 9/10

It's smooth and it looks nice. Could be used as room transition for platformers or RPGs. 9/10

Thanks for the comments guys! <3 It could definitely be optimized. I just made it for a mission on another site, so I didn't feel like doing the extra work. If I include it in a game, I'll make sure to speed it up. ~Tizzy <3

Tizzy, we know what GMClans is, you can just say you made it for a GMClans mission :D.

10/10 Twas very nice!

Would be perfect for a FPS rain system!! (just fix the lag) 8/10 BTW the lag doesn't happen on the actual game thing, but it lags the rest of the computer.

"we know what GMClans is" - Kenon Okies. I was afraid it wouldn't be okay. :P ~Tizzy <3

It's nice and all, but I ran into some problems when I tried to open another file after I selected one to apply the effects to. It still happens between runs of the example EXEs made in the TEMP folder. Now I can only open the file I originally used to apply the effect to. Anyways, this doesn't really matter, since the actual picture-melting script is what counts. It ran pretty fast for me, using about 30-40% of my CPU. Like what Juju said, keep working on this! :D 9/10

this would be awesome for games that needs loading, nice little room transitions. Print the screen and then load the image it printed to!
