Staff - Downtime

Posted by APlusHost on Aug. 23, 2007, 3:47 p.m.

Hello Community,

I would like to formally say sorry about last nights downtime, during the night for us in the UK.

We are trying our best to find the cause of this random downtime, which is seeming to be caused by a few different things.

Your patience is Appreciated.

Thanks,

Ashley

Maybe he provides hosting for free. It would be kind of silly to pay someone to use it, especially for as big as 64digits is.

Mabey he gave them free hosting as long as they made him staff!

Would that even be worth it?

Please stop using 64digits.com for hosting your submissions. That site is not a reliable host.

Even when the site is back up temporarily (if that happens) I can no longer accept new submissions that use it. It's just too time consuming to deal with the unreliable links, and the reports about them.

So far, I have only closed those topics where complaints were posted. However, if your example is currently hosted on 64digits, I recommend you find a new host immediately.
Pwnt.

Gah, these issues better be resolved soon.

@Everyone:

Ashley is our hosting manager and he deals with site problems, and the hosting company obviously. He's also an admin, although his profile only says moderator.

Argh, I would accept your apology if 64Digits was able to stay up for more than a few hours. [>>]

I recommend we hit KC LC with a spam attack. And by spam attack I mean we find thier house, wait for them to come outside, then throw cans of spam at thier face.

Haha. I agree with her though. For FAQ examples they need to be up for more than a few hours at a time.

You could always advertise it, "For a Limited Time Only!". Those examples will be real collectors' items.
