This is what it looks like:
Check out like all of the pictures hereAnd the specs are like:i7 4790kEVGA gtx960 2GB Low-Profile (Not a 970, but kicks well for the price)6GB 1333 tracer RAM from last build (May upgrade to 2x4 8GB or so later)128GB SSD Samsung (I recommend the 256GB, and a warranty)1TB Samsung HDD (awesome)2TB WD Black HDD (decent)550W power supply. Its enough, unless future SLI.With the case it be like: And by screens be like: I wish my desk was less messy, but I tend to write ideas down on paper and then leave them there until its all completed. I tried using an iPad instead and using things like evernote, but it didnt seem to help for this purpose as much for me. I think that system is too clunky personally because I am making lots of edits and diagramming often. I think the msft Surface would be nice to replace my laptop because of OneNote to be honest.Anyway, it plays games pretty dang well. However if you want to spend another $150, you can get the gtx970 and get another 10 FPS, however some tests were done and the 960 averages out at 60FPS. Is there a difference? Yes, but it wasn't worth the cost for me.I also use EaseUS to backup my full SSD drive. This is super convenient, because my OS is on it, which makes it easy to swap out to a new drive if something happens. My data is on my 1TB, and then my 2TB acts as both a backup drive and a place for my movies and games. Also, decided to go ahead and purchase a year subscription of Dropbox which includes a TB of storage. Was convenient today because I could edit my doc with Word Online app built into dropbox. No worries with transferring any documents! I also came to love (although its hacky) using Realtime (Free) File Sync. Its like a dropbox monitor to copy files to another location. One example is having a 10sec timer to copy my iTunes library file to the other iTunes folder with all the music files because iTunes is a stupid bitch like that.Looking forward to hearing what I did wrong somewhere :D
it's kinda cool but there's no fish tank
All I can say is what do you need an i7 and all them threads for? Otherwise pretty good.
@Unaligned: Realistically I only need an i5, but I decided I'd like to have the HT option. There's only a few cases where I'd actually need it though. Recording video should be better with HT while playing games, and a few other uses. But most things it won't help at all. I prefer productivity over my gaming so I opted for a better processor and held back on the video card a tad.
@Steven: Pfft I just download more when I need it!
