I DID IT 64DIGITS!

Posted by Alert Games on Sept. 14, 2016, 8:02 p.m.

So the website went down, sure. But for the longevity of the digits, I have finally brought myself to do it….

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED THE DOMAIN OF 65DIGITS.COM !!!!

IF YOU WANT IT, THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO BID ON IT, BECAUSE I'M HOLDING IT HOSTAGE UNTIL A SWEET DEAL IS MADE!

Wait, what do I plan on doing with that domain you ask? Well, there is just a metric shitton of things I can do with it! I could CNAME 64digits' IP, I could redirect it to one of my own websites, I could make a website portal to many different websites, the possibilities!

Maybe v4 will take too long to ever be… Maybe its time for a REVOLUTION! The 65DIGITS REVOLUTION! WILL THIS BE A THING??? No… really…. would it? WHO IS WITH ME?!

EDIT: If you have a suggestion btw, let me know below

On a serious note, I am thinking that maybe I'll use the domain as the pointer to the server that will be used on one of my new projects. I set out to a pretty ambitious agenda to create a number of products that will work together. A 'platform' if you will.

Part of that project will involve a file repository for both my own projects and anyone that wants to pay a small fee to use it as well. I may be asking about file hosting things in the future as best practices with the cloud-based solutions and such nowadays…

I am finishing up the open-source GMUI framework now, might whip up a menu designer at some point (paid, cheap), will be creating PD3 (less cheap with pay tiers … or free w/ little feats.), "project mystart", and "project game platform" that will host PD3 with auto-updating based on the framework for it. Wow. Stresses me out just thinking about it. But I think it will eventually turn into something great, especially with the knowledge i've gained about cross-platform support, API's, software/website design, and building tools that will be mutually beneficial for the work I do, and what it can provide.

We'll just have to wait and see where it leads

I get an error on that one that says that it cant connect. I'm guessing you haven't set up the server yet?

Wow, I can't wait to see how it turns out :D I just got rid of one of my domains, wasn't anything special though. And last time I checked, Aistarin had this as his link to the demo site http://64digitsv4.lunardigital.io But It doesn't work ether assuming the link got changed.

I see

I actually get rid of my domains periodically. I buy a couple that are similar to each other, and then I stick with the ones I prefer/need and drop the other ones and repeat.

right now I have 14 domains and maybe half of them being used, and maybe half of those not being used plan on using for sure.

At least it's not expensive. And you must have a lot of projects then lol.

Ah ok. I was wondering what was going on with it.

one time when I was in kindergarten I was talking to some kid about Super Mario 64. He told me he had a Nintendo 65. I didn't believe him so I peed on his house

it's a Kansas thing, if you lived here for a day you'd understand
