I need help

I am at the point where I can start building a new youtube channel and a new website for gaming backend

WEBSITE

A while ago I talked about building a new website that would essentially be a steam competitor. This is of course before they had things like API's for DLC and Workshop Items.

Essentially I'd like to build something similar because it would allow for a better system to showcase inde games, but this of course is handled by Steam and GameJolt already.

Honestly, if either system has a good way to support "DLC" items, accounts in games, multiple cloud saves per user (particle systems in my case), in-game chat, hash-check security for executables, auto-updating via API, etc., then I would go with that rather than rolling my own.

WEBSITE: NAME?

I've written down a name a long time ago: "GameHelium" with the tag line of something like "Taking your inde game to new levels" or something like that. But I'm unsure if thats what I should still stick with…

NEW CHANNEL

I also want to start a new youtube channel. This channel would focus on a more genuine reporting of the state of tech that would generate discussion, rather than clickbait - esc articles that are written all the time. This like what microsoft, apple, google, amazon, etc are up to. Maybe a video every week or something, just because I like to talk about it but its annoying to me how many "jouralists" get their news wrong. And on youtube, sometimes there are good channels, but theres far more just unboxings, first-impressions of products, etc. Less about software and tech companies in general.

I thought up the names "TechPoint" (like checkpoint), "TechToday", and even "BetterSoftware". But I'm not sure if I like any of them.

Anyway, maybe someone could help with some opinions about this stuff. I often get caught up just trying to figure out a name haha.

Have a good day!

My hypothetical band name is "Killed by Signal 9", you can take that if you want :3

Simplify and register the domain "signal-nine.com" or something! Its memorable and tech-relevant!

I would say avoid using the word "game". For example, I have seen people taking Itch.io more seriously than Game Jolt, since the word "Game" apparently reminds them of those Flash gaming sites of early 2000s - or something like that. (Very likely I'm wrong and "Game Anything" is completely fine)

But we all know what name you are going to take: sexygoofy.solutions
