Wonder what that means? Anyhoo hello, i'm me, as far as you should know. I've got a game completed, Czar Wars II, so go check it out whenever it shows up on the main page, and i've got 2 WIPs that aren't quite at the demo stage yet, the tenatively titled's-ly Galactic Attack and Close Encounter.
So since i'm new i guess i should tell y'all about myself. I'm 14, i live on earth, i write music, i'll post a link to some music of mine you can listen to later, and i've had GM since early '03, regestered since sometime in '04.In all my games I do all my own graphics, as is evidenced above, in my banner-like rectangle. Most of it's crappy shade-less pixel art, but i do some pre-rendering with animator.Lemme go into detail on my WIPs.Galactic Attack is a Vertically-Scrolling space shooter. It's kind of a coming together of 3 old 1942 edits i did called Space Battle 1-3. It was gonna be Space Battle: The Good One, because it's not a rip of 1942, but then i learned Space Battle is an existing game of the same genre, so i changed it. Apparently so is galatic attack. It's going to have 8 missions that range from clearing the pathe from one planet to another to traversing an asteroid belt to destroying an IGBM(Inter Galactic Balistic Missile). There are a number of planets and space stations you can fly down to and fight baddies at, which will be required in some of the campaign missions. There is also a free play mode where you fly through space and kill as many enemies as you can, and you have the option to fly down to a planet or space station as you pass. You earn money based on your preformance in the missions and in Free Play whith which you can customize your ship. I'm contemplaying Competitive and Co-Op free play online as well as an online high score table. If i decide that's possible, i'll pitch the game to Mark, as i call him, to be part of the reflect system.Close Encounter is much more far-off, considering it's mostly in the planning stages, with a basic control sheme mostly worked out and most of the graphics completed. The story follows a small group of soldiers in WWII, which you command, fighting in Operation Torch who later get transferred to The Bocage(The invasion of france) after the Normandy Landing, and pretty soon it takes a bit of an Extra-Terrestrial Twist. In the campaign mode you control the entire group of 12 soldiers that dwindles overtime, but gets regruits staight from teh states when it's too small. You can give your group commands and take manual control of any of the soldiers. While your soldiers occupy a vehicle such as a tank, and APC or a Jeep(among others) you control the vehicle as a whole and can direct the fire of all the people riding in it who are in a position to fire. Each man carries his own rank and gets stronger/smarter as his rank increases. For multiplayer, you ditch the group and are only one soldier. Every time you respawn you can choose from 8 different classes in a BF1942-like fashon. You gain rank depending on your preformance, and the different classes depending on your rank(as a private you only get one, as a corporal you get 5 and as a sergant of higher you get all 8). You also get bonuses for ranking up, such as damage/health bonuses for certain classes, or all classes as you get gigher. When you get a very high rank(and btw you're always an enlisted man, never an officer) you can call in airrades and artillery strickes every so often and provide bonuses to nearby lower-ranked soldiers.Well, that's it for now.
You write alot…
I dont want to read it though :)Welcome to 64D!
I don't expect you too. Skip the WIP stuff, it's pretty boring. &Thanks REZ.
