Or 3 plus 3 for that matter.
Have you ever had one of those Game Making days when you say to your self, "I have no clue what to do next!" or "Damn, I wish I knew how FredFredrickson did it!"?If so, then has it gone on longer than… say… 7 months? If so, your not alone. I've been strugling to keep with a project. Should I make a Top Down Shooter? Or should I finish that card game I've been making? Maybe I should start on that FPS I've been putting off for so long, or re-write the entire story, yet again? But you know what I think my problem there is? I have no artistic tallent at all! I can't pixel, I can't 3D model, I can't make textures at all! I can only program, and I wish I knew how the "top" game makers did it (with Game Maker of course). So basicly, in short, damn, I wish I knew how FredFredrickson did it!AndHas this happened to you and how did you break out of it, or how you cope with it on a day to day basis of your computer nerdy life?
i agrre with u except 4 the nerdy part…..do teh tds theer fun im working on one now
DON'T LIE!!! It's not hard to tell we're all computer geeks/nerds sitting infront of our computers day and night (well, maybe a break to sleep and eat and use the good old bathroom) with out girl friends, or is it just me?
If you can't do art, then stick to programming. Make cool applications rather than explosiful games. It's not really something that requires "coping" with, because it shouldn't interfere too much with your life - but I had a creative block with Gmod mapping/scripting. That's when I rediscovered GM and regained inspiration [=)]. I jumped back quickly, and found that I had actually improved with all the stuff I was struggling with before, and had a whole bunch of new ideas.
Sounds familiar.
I also wish this site wouldn't glitch up on me some times and submit the same WIP 3 times, but that's a different story.
