I suck at spriting...

Now time for my GAME MAKER NEWS!

I was able to fix depth issues in my RTS, and now it looks 3D at any angle. Though seeing as the entire game is a Fake 3D, it isn't dynamicly lit (that one of the few major problems with using this system, but using this system avoids the common problems with 3D games). Now that it's 3D enough to be worked on, I'm going to try to make the unit sprites, but seeing as I'm terrible at adding detail to my sprites, they look sucky so far (at least the building I'm working on). I hope I'll get this done by my self, but if I have to, I'll get a spriter.

Anyway, now onto what every one's here for, something about my life!!!

My life sucks! Yay for Game Maker!

UPDATE!

I finished work on the building, and I put it into a gif file for all of you to see!

As far as I know, thats the best Fake 3D model to date. If some one can prove me wrong, please speak up.

Fake 3d? Wow, it's a good job, but there's going to be so many sprites you might as well not bother.

Looks nice. Are you going to upload an example of your fake 3D?

Yeah, I suck at spriting, which sucks…

Hey, that's not too bad.

I've done a good fake 3d model before. Probably Better than that.

Unfortunately, I'm on my school's computer… so I can't upload it >_>

and I don't want to hack into my computer at home to get it either…

And also, I've been messing with a way to make shadows in fake 3d. When done I'll upload an example of what fake 3d can do.

maybe you should use a modelling program and prerender all the sprites instead of manually drawing them

Well, the game only runs at 30fps, seeing as I don't want slow down at 60 (if that makes any sense). Oh well. So far, there isn't any slow down, and I plan on adding some speed up tech to this, like rendering the image as a single sprite depending on the angle of the view. Well, I've not found any problems so far with slow down yet, so I'll continue this way for now.
