You've all read blogs on the console war and what not. I'm sure you've read some on the cola wars. This is for the game consoles, and is heavly opinionated, but I will be fair (not).
First off, the XBox360. In my opinion, it sucks, but this of course was before I played the first XBox. Now my opinion is the XBox360 sucks worse. It's really just an updated XBox with a higher price tag and way to many WWII FPS and sports games. The only reason I would want an XBox or a 360 is for Halo, and really, thats not enough of a reason for me. The 360, the worst of the 3 consoles.Second, PS3. Sonys shot in the foot if you ask me. Sure it will be better than the 360, sure it will have the best graphics of the 3, but the price is what gets ya. $600 for the full system. Yay sure fine what ever. $600 I don't have, but thats not the point. You may think $600 is ok, good, FINALY GOT A PS3!!! Suprise suprise Firebert. Just wait untill you fork out another $200 just for a few games, and then you realise that you can't even play it to it's full graphical extent because you don't have a Hi-Def TV. Go out and buy one? Sure, why not? Just add $1500+ to it. So, that comes out to OVER $2500+ just to play the latest in Sony games. And thats WAY TO MUCH just for a game console. Same applies to the 360, though the console and games for the 360 are cheeper, the Hi-Def TV costs still come into play for the full system. And I'm sure the PS3 will go the way of the sports games and crappy FPS.Now here is what you've all been expecting, my likeing of the Wii. So what it's not Hi-Def? Do I want to get the best graphics for my games? No way! I could care less about graphics. I love my DS, but not for it's graphical capabilities, but for it's game play. Same goes for the Wii. There are not very many sports games or crappy FPS on Nintendo consoles (not saying there are not any), and I for one don't think sports games are everything. Infact, isn't that why we play sports? Why would we want them on our consoles? Anyway, the Wii will also have the lowest price of the 3, and seeing as I expect great games to come with the revolutionary gameplay system, this should be the best of the 3. Not for it's graphics, not for its crappy FPS or it's sports games, but for it's game play, the true thing that makes a game, a game.~BenRKStop looking at the typos and get on with reading the blog.I will delete people who only say stuff like "You suck you ****in *******!" or something like that.
errr… you realise the Wii is likely to have LOADS of FPS's and sports games? Don't shout at me, I'm getting one too, but FPS's and sports are kinda what the controller is going to be best at.
Although personally I think it'll be most awesome for sword/light saber fighting, and RTS's :DI hate soccer games. Therefore I hate Playstations in general.

Anyway, by the looks of opinions across the internet, Nintendo once again will finally regain control of the video game industry. Exactly what Arcalyth said, though it's more like this:Wii > 360 >>>>>>>>> PS3We'll see about that. I really do hope Nintendo at least makes up some lost ground this time around, but I don't know if they'll be able to retake the market in one generation.
We can hope though, hehe. I also think Sony is going to be losing quite a bit of shar this time around, with a lot less exclusives, and a lot higher prices. I just don't think people are interested enough in Blue Ray (or HD DVD) in general yet to be pushing them into this new (and again, expensive) format.You say that Fred, but didn't sony overtake both sega and nintendo with the playstation?

I expect this is to apeal to the Sony/Microsoft fans, though I'm sure that even with loads of crappy FPS and sports games, there will be LOADS more of inovative games in the Wii library.(*delets HeroofTime55's post. Not really*) FredFredricksonThings happen over night. Sony took the market for consoles with one generation (PS2. Not to be confused with PS/2, the things in the back of your computer that hook up to the keyboard and mouse). But of course, we'll see.For all we know, the Wii will suck and the PS3 will take the money from people untill the price of living goes into the millions. Or the Wii will be so good, it will take over the console market and we'll never see a console devoted to crappy FPS and sports games ever again.
