Don't you just love that little message? My computer has a rather bad habit of doing this most times I try to load my game. One of the big contributers appears to be sounds files, so I only have like 5 in my game right now. I'll just load the other 45 or so once the programming is done. XD However, I have discovered a beautiful little way to avoid it, actually I bet most of you already (or should) use it - backup files. I think I'm probably a little more over the top than most people though. I'm currently at backup number…*checks*…47. Plus about 15 other random ones and an assortment of gb1's, 2's, etc. Even then, the backups aren't always good, and at times even the automatic GM backups aren't either, so progress can be a little slow. Of course what's really weird, is that if I reboot the system, about 40 or 50% of the time, the file will load perfectly. After about two years of putting up with this (and actually losing one game), I finally determined the cause - my video card. Apparently the NVidia GeForce FX5500 isn't quite compatible with Windows (one more reason to go Mac [:P]). This would also explain my 5+ blue screens everyday. The only problem is, the video card is so vital to my work that I can't afford to take it out. The basic built-in card that the system came with probably won't come close to adequately handling my games. Hence why I'm considering a nice $1400 gaming system. [:D]However, even with all of the corruptions and errors, I'm making a lot of progress on our big game. After over 1 year of development, all of the pieces are beginning to come together. The core engine is mostly done, so now I'm beginning work on extraneous stuff such as menus and some of the other levels. Here's how it's turning out (this is a tutorial level):What do you think?
Error Loading: File Seems to Be Corrupted

Looks nice from the screeny.
b^-^dWow, the V in that font is severely fucked up 0_o
Does that background flash around or is it just static?
It seems people have a lack of creativity in making titles for their blog…
Well, that screen shot looks cool though. Why do you have to buy a whole new computer if you just could use some money to buy a new graphics card? :D
Character in the screenshot looks good.Lol, marbs, how much space does your backup folder (or files…) use up?
Anyways, GM6 used to do that to me all of the time, but GM7 hasn't done it once, not even when I load a GM6 file that GM6 said was corrupted.
