What the hell? You dont know bout DEATH NOTE?

Then you are missing somethin great!..let me enlighten you:

Death Note (デスノート, Desu Nōto?) is a Japanese manga series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series primarily centers around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it.

Death Note first began as a manga series first serialized by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from the first issue in December 2003 to May 2006, with 108 chapters in total. The series has been published in its entirety in 12 graphic novels in Japan. Death Note was eventually licensed for North American publication by VIZ Media,[1] and the first English language volume was released on October 4, 2005.[2] The series has been adapted into a pair of live-action films (released in Japan on June 17, 2006 and November 3, 2006 respectively),[3] and an anime series which commenced airing in Japan on October 3, 2006.[4]

I've been watching the television show and I read as far as I could in the manga a while back. It's fantastic. I've been looking forward to the movie, especially since Tatsuya Fujiwara plays Light (Ever since he played Shuuya in Battle Royale 1 and 2, he's been one of my favorite actors).

I'll have to get my hands on the movie.

Death Note is still a cult classic, so don't expect many people here to know about it. It's probably one of the most in-depth and well-thought out stories I've ever read, though, so it is my recommendation that everyone gives it a try.

(Please don't tell me if 'N' is in the movie. I'm kinda hoping the movie ends before 'N' but just after 'L', and there is a sequal.

HOLY SHIT! I just now watched it. It was amazing.

They took some liberties with a few parts, but all-in-all it was so well made according to the original story. My only complaint is that they left off at the worst possible part… Right before all the best stuff happens.

PS - The preview at the beginning of the film, where Tatsuya Fujiwara is talking…. geez…. he has long hair and a mustache now… I'm so happy he went back to his old look for the film.

Also, I'm glad they changed the way Raye's fiancee dies. It is much more appropriate this way.
