What's up with my stuff

Lately I’ve been making huge progress on my main project, “Solid.â€? I have so much done: Customizable EXP curves, Levels, Skills, Equipment, Items, Events, HUD, Menu, Loading/Saving, and a bunch of other minute stuff. It’s getting me pretty excited because soon I’m going to be able to start actually adding content, something I haven’t done in YEARS.

I’ve been getting pretty depressed at the graphics though. When I first started this project, I wanted to go for a very simple style so that I could finish the game quickly (Haha, look how well that turned out) But now it’s just not enough for me. Unfortunately, I don’t have the talent to make beautiful pixel tiles/landscapes/sprites, so I can either: Stick with current graphics / Practice / Get a partner. The thing is I want to get this out soon because it’s been so long since I’ve updated and I’d really like incentive to work on it more. What to do, what to do?

Coding wise everything is great. I encounter bugs every once in a while but I get rid of them right away so I don’t have to look at their ugly faces again. Areas are now connected and transportation between them is possible, so I can start mapping out worlds and stuff. First, though, I have to make some enemies. Three normal dudes and a boss for the first, very small area (a forest). Then I should be able to get a build out and get some feedback on what else to do.

Some screenshots!

That's all for now.

I suck at spriting as well, but in my opinion the game looks awesome, the simple look is working for you.

Thanks! I guess I'll just work on getting a build out and then gather some opinions.
