Yeah, I’ve nearly completed my game for the YoYo Games Co-operation Competition! I’ve got a few more things more to program and a bit of polishing off to do, but it’s pretty much finished. I’ve got to make some banners and stuff too to advertise the game to the greatest population that I can. I’m very pleased about this as this is the first game I’ve completed. I resisted the temptation of letting other projects overhaul the development of my game and (I don’t know how) kept motivated throughout the development. I don’t think the game is of a good enough standard to compete with other games in the competition, but I am happy to complete the game nevertheless. Now in true 2Dcube style, I’ve made a teaser screenshot for all of you to wonder about :).

Back on the Mag Soon

Now with my game nearly done, I will soon be able to start work back on the next issue of the magazine. I can tell you that we have taken on five contributors to join our editorial team now and this should improve the speed of creating each issue. I will let you know the new name of the magazine very soon.

My Cage Match Opinions

Well I’m very happy with the return of the Cage Matches. It’s really fun seeing which game the community prefers. I was on holiday when the first new one happened, but I voted Frozzd in the 2nd and 3rd new matches. It’s a nice way to give your opinions and it’s well managed by Ablach Blackrat.

Go Great Britain!

I’m quite impressed with how it’s gone for Great Britain in the 2008 Olympics so far. Especially at the weekend – we got 8 golds in just 2 days! It was quite amazing and I really can’t believe that we reached 3rd in the medals table – I was expecting a lot worse. Also, Rebecca Adlington should be knighted; after all, she did get 2 gold medals, like Dame Kelly Holmes…

Football’s Back!

Yay! The 08/09 season has started, after all that waiting. Awww… Stoke got beat 3-1 by Bolton :(.

School

I have to go into school this Wednesday, to get some GCSE exam results (science and maths). I’ve just finished year 10 by the way; I do some of my science and maths test in year 10 and 11, because they are modular courses. I hope I’ve done well… I have a gut feeling that I’ve messed up my science exams. I’ve got two weeks remaining until I have to go back to school for the autumn term and I’m dreading it. I’m really enjoying sitting at home, programming and surfing the web all day…

My shortest blog post so far. My next one will probably be about my (then completed) competition game entry. Oh yeah, I had two Smarties cookies on Friday – they were very tasty!
