I've been reading a lot of the new comments about V3 and they're mostly good, which motivates me to continue improving the site. First thing first, the menu. It seems like a lot of you don't like how huge it is, so here is what it would look like on a diet. I've also made a mashup of the github menu into our template to see what it would look like with it a lighter grey.

The second looks better in my opinion. Now get to work on the BOTTOM bar!
I like the way it is now actually. If I had to choose between the two I would say the first one because I like having the darker line at the top (everything else is such a light grey), that and it also matches the bottom.
Current one is good by me as well. I think it's really stylish. If you have to shrink it, keep the style the same, at least. There's enough light boring colors on the site without making the menu bar bright gray as well. :P
Second one by far.

and the text is too small in my opinion, especially the bit under the comments where it says who posted it and whenI've reconsidered, and agree that V3 should go for a different look than V2, which dark certainly is.
