Black Friday Reconnaissance Report

My first blog not tagged with a name in a long time.

OH NOEZ!

Now, most of you have heard of Black Friday, I hope. For those who haven't…

*glares at you*

It's the day directly following Thanksgiving, and the busiest shopping day of the whole year. No day is busier than this.

So, my mom was doing a report for a college newspaper she runs. I decided to join her in waking up at 4:00 AM (I got to sleep at midnight, mind you), and we went to a few stores to check everythinig out.

Hard to believe it could ever be so crowded that early in the morning.

There were long lines extending out of most stores, and when they opened, people TRAMPLED each other to get inside.

TRAMPLED

We went to Wal-Mart, and actually went inside. Parking lot…crowded, inside was insane. The checkout lines extended halfway through the freaking store. People had walkie-talkies and were shouting at each other. I didn't dare to buy anything for fear of being run over.

Speaking of getting run over, just walking through the parking lot is dangerous. Some dude was backing out of the parking space and would not stop for me to get past. I had to jump out of the way to avoid being injured.

Finally, we visited the mall, and believe me, taking pictures of a long line extending out of the store is awkward. I was sure we were going to be attacked. Some lady was all worked up about standing outside, fighting to keep her place in line. The mall was very…not busy, but wasn't open yet. GameStop had a line outside of it; there was a queue to get inside.

In conclusion…

There is no Christmas love on Black Friday

Oh, and when you get the time…

@Josea: Big, big sales. It's also the first oppurtunity for people to start shopping for Christmas without feeling guilty of forgetting Thanksgiving.

Here in Canada we don't have BlackFriday,we have BoxingDay which is the day after Christmas

You treat these double-names days as GM variables. =D
