Yet another Christmas blog. But mine's different. Oh, yes.
What I got for Christmas:- An MP3 player- Two articles of clothing…It was a cheap-ass Christmas this year.Other than that, I've been playing a few games, including:- Mother 3- League of Legends (smurfing now, but usually getting countersmurfed)- WoW (rarely though)- CosmicBreak (I let Purianite talk me into it)- Touhou MotherAnd games I've been working on:- LODM- TerminysI've been playing with particles just a bit, including some of the more underused ones. With the line shape, I made some light rays. Not god rays because they aren't affected by object placement, but still not terrible-looking.Not the best way I could've shown it, since I don't have the tilesets for where they're SUPPOSED to be used designed yet. Also with the line shape, I made a decent-looking waterfall.I also tried my hand at drawing trees, which was very time-consuming. What's worse is that they didn't turn out too well. At first they looked really naked so I covered them up a bit more, and it didn't seem to make them look any better.I'm a terrible pixel artist. But the tiles on this screen actually look semidecent to me.I just now realized I accidentally saved those files as JPG. Oh well, I'm not going for quality here.Terminys is still the main focus, and I was trying to get a bit more inspired by playing Mother 3, which is its graphical root, really. At this point, tileset design is so cumbersome that I'm probably going to have to keep it simple if I want to get anything done.Much longer than I thought it might be. Much more comment for you to content on.
No, so I am giving everyone their own flashlight.
Cyrus, I swear I've seen that face on your avatar somewhere else.
I also got an mp3 player and 2 articles of clothing… But wait! There's more. Namely, a flashlight. 3 flashlights actually.
You're tiles are quite good in my opinion. The only thing that I don't like about it is the high contrast between the light top branches and the dark green lower branches on the trees. The bareness actually makes them look like inverted fir trees.
