My second one now.
So this weekend there was a convention of sorts being hosted near me again. I didn't plan on going, but a few friends asked me to, so I gave in. It was a blast. Wish I could say everything about it, but we must all make sacrifices for the purpose of tl;dr.Nothing reeeeally out of the ordinary happened. But it was fun regardless. It seemed like the themes this year were:- Soul Eater- Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya- Pokemon (fuck)- Naruto (doublefuck)- Ouran Host ClubMost of the costumes were from these groups, though I did see some really great ones such as:- League of Legends (Mordekaiser, Nocturne, Janna, and Hillbilly Gragas)- Touhou (Flandre, Remilia, Patchouli)And on the note of Touhou, there was a girl geeking out about how this guy modded Touhou songs onto some PC port of DDR (probably another title I'm not aware of). I never thought I'd get sick of hearing U.N.Owen Was Her?, but she played that, along with a few other songs, very excessively. So yeah, I found someone who likes Touhou more than I do (is it possible?).Also started a few new shows including:- Kanon (Puri told me to)- K-On (Puri and Rob (kind of) told me to)- Yuru Yuri (Rob and Puri told me to)All are quite lulzy, the last being more so at the moment, the second being the typical KyoAni female-focused show, and the first having that Key style of sudden sadness after a lot of calmness.And watched the film that goes with the Haruhi series. I don't know what to say. Thoroughly impressive.School's keeping me tied down, so the status of my competition entry is iffy right now. I've got a lot of work to do, and I just finished a rather large homework assignment, so maybe I'll get a chance to sit with it a while. No screens or previews or anything, mostly so I can focus, but I will say this:Genre: Stealth TDSScary-Four Category: Halloween (light horror elements)Great focus on the characters and some dynamic interaction. Should be fun if I can finish it.

Naruto and Pokemon were the most overdone themes up there, and two things I don't really consider anime because of how Americanized they are. Even if they were, wouldn't watch them."U.N.Owen Was Her?"?

Cosplaying isn't my thing at all. I can't even imagine myself dressed up. Yet the same friends are asking me to, and I guess I did feel a little left out this year. Not sure what I'd do, but if I do, I'll take pics so you can all laugh.

I already high-fived Flandre there and that's all I need. Less jokingly, I'd just wear the wings. =|
And there were a lot of Minecraft guys there, too, including a creeper in a business suit.
