JUDGINGJudging will take a little less time than expected. It will begin tomorrow (late tonight in my time depending on how many submissions I get), and the first round will go for two days, giving you some time to play the games (stay on top of this please). Then on Thursday, the second round will begin, where the top five proceed for one last chance at first place.
For the first round, votes MUST be submitted via PM, with your top three favorite games. Try to take several things into account, including gameplay, innovation, and how well the game fits the theme. For the second round, everyone only gets one vote.
The results will be announced on Friday.
I have finals this week, and if it makes you guys feel better, I haven't started myself, and I'm still trying to choose an idea anyway.
Is that an entry, Twinzermancer?I only got some character sprites for my game done.
I also bought Otomedius Excellent today so that might slow me down tooI've done basically nothing, at this rate I won't finish my fairly ambitious idea
Think I'm going to post a screen for every day though, so you can all appreciate how little I've done in a few hours timeFrom experience, I say do what you can, and see if you can cut back on some aspects in order to finish. I mean look at Rez. He didn't quite finish animations, and he won the damn contest. It's just a matter of realizing sooner than later how much work it's going to be, and accounting for it accordingly.
The idea I have in mind is a little too ambitious too, and because of it, I'm probably going to change things up.F4D has vastly fewer participants than S4D, so I don't want to see nearly as many people dropping out. Do what you can, and just have fun.I'm pretty sure a lot of us have ideas that are too ambitious to accomplish within 3 weeks.
Also since I'm not a composer my game is going to be all sound effects unless I figure PXTone out.Sure.
I never quite finish animations.
I'll join the competition as 'tentative'.
im in! the prizes seem sweet :D
Would I be allowed to submit a modified version of my upcoming ludam dare 22 game?
