YES THE CAPS WERE NECESSARY.
This is the final working day, and as promised, there will be no more extensions. If your games aren't finished, just submit what you have. If you want to submit any notes such as controls, additional story, or even what and why it isn't finished, I'll put those up too.You still have a little time to work. I did say midnight GMT, and honestly, you should be done by about that time. I'll give you six hours after that for submission (that's eleven for me at GMT-7 – keep track of that if you're being pressed for time), but if you miss that time, I won't accept any more submissions.Your games should be pretty bug-free. I'll be testing all of these and if I get unavoidable crashes, then I may not even post it among the participants. I know it's harsh since you put a lot of work into it, but you should all be spending this final day polishing and bugtesting, even if your game isn't finished. So, here's the submission template. Please send your games to me in a PM. You can host them off-site, but I need to be able to access it. Additionally, please include all resources required to run your game. If you made it in Game Maker, include all DLLs and extensions. If you made it in C++, Java, or any other language, at the very least, include a link to required runtime environments, etc, and I will relay it.SUBMISSION TEMPLATE:Game NameLinkCreator and CollaboratorsUp to three screenshots, preferably cropped to 320x240 or smallerNotesBugs I should be made aware of, only if not "fatal" – the game can at least be completedGenre (optional)Language the game was made in (optional)Be using this time to bugtest. Polished games also do very well even if not finished.I will be available for the majority of today. If you are too, contact me. the best ways are via PM, IRC, or if you have me as a contact, Messenger or e-mail.AT THE TIME THIS BLOG WAS POSTED, YOU HAVE 9-15 HOURS LEFT TO SUBMITIf you're going to utilize the additional seven hours, remember to use that to make sure your game runs. And if you're thinking of dropping out, let me direct you to a post from Acid in the main F4D blog. 90% of the time in these competitions, your game will not turn out exactly as planned. But chances are that people will enjoy playing it. So just have fun with it. You entered, you put work in it, you should at least have something to show for it. Just make some notes for me as to how far you can get in the game, though I recommend having some sort of legitimate ending, even if it's an "END OF DEMO" screen.Good luck everyone.
I'm coding furiously right now.
My fingers hurt. Make it stop, Kilin, MAKE IT STOP. D:I am half :D and half D: about this
Aww yiss, I'm all done with mine.
Now watch as it fails to get any votes. :(I HAVE AN HOUR AND A FIFTEEN MINUTES TO FIX MY BUGS AND MAKE IT PRESENTABLE.
:(Dear lord, this is rediculous.
HAHAHAH YOU GUYS SUCK.
I'm not composing the blog until tomorrow, so take that any way you like.God, fuck me and my damn extensions. Submit while I'm sleeping or something. GMT-7. No excuses tomorrow morning. Also remember that you need to PM me something in order to be considered an entrant. So don't forget.I can tell Im not going to get much sleep tonight.
So.. much.. coding to be.. done.Should we use this blog as a place to share screenshots in the final hours? Yes? Okay.
Unfortunately my work usually winds up looking better than it actually is, but we'll see. We're not going to be able to submit the full game to F4D, but we'll release a demo, then we'll release the full game later, after the comp.
Is that okay?I have no idea what is going on in that screenshot, but it looks like it could be vaguely intelligible in game/video format
AND YES DEMOES ARE TOTALLY OKAYright?
