Thanks! I was hesitant sharing my music because I was thinking it sounded too… I can't think of a word. "Clearly made by someone with little understanding of music theory with a music creating program"-y?
The songs I posted are supposed to sound like they are all by a fictional band with individual instruments, hence the line-up of the Keyboard/Guitar/Bass/Drums. And yes, I know the guitar and bass sound like synths, it's quite hard to emulate a guitar; samples sound terrible and I can't synthesize it.
Yeah I want heavy guitar power chord riffs but I have no way of recording my guitar with half decent quality. Direct input has really really high gain for some reason. The only program I've seen record guitar well is Garageband, and I'm a two-button kind of guy.
I like "Trying to Embrace a Memory" because that;s how the music makes me feel, which is pretty neat.Juggaleer's Veins sounds pretty good as well.I didn't listen to any of your second album, but that's just because the word "Psychedelic" just makes me think of pot-leaves, Pink Floyd, and rainbow fractals so I can't really take it seriously. What artists do you draw inspiration from?
I'm hardly esoteric. The meaning of esoteric is sort of esoteric; I had to google it. So, skip to the stuff that I probably won't like, alright, that's what I usually do anyways.
and I often use "silly" to describe things; you needn't worry about sounding gay. Although, "Esoteric" sounds a bit smug.God is Alive and Well is pretty good. The music kinda reminds me of God is an Astronaut. It's a bit too stonery for my tastes though, but I don't know where I get off complaining about that seeing as I could listen to Third Eye on a loop for two hours. Maybe I'm too close-minded, which sucks because I hate people like that. Where'd you get that sample from?
