Nobody ever informed me that there was good rap.I thought that was an oxymoron.Anyways. I haven't blogged here in a million years.Let's get to it I guess.I gave up on Ephii because that's pretty much my MO.I don't like spending a lot of time on something, my motivation drains too quickly and my inspiration comes at the most random times.I've been drawing and mucking around with pixel art a whole bunch, it takes much less time to come up with a product than making a game. I keep trying out different art styles so that I won't stagnate or some artistic BS like that.I've been trying more and more to… riff. That's what I've been calling it anyways.Basically I'm trying to let go of my preconceived ideas and thoughts and just make something randomly and haphazardly. These drawings/pixels are the product of that.I wanted to make a game the same way, and I made a bunch of assets and drawings and started on the engine for a platform brawler.I'd post some screenshots of something but I haven't even implemented any enemies. Right now the only combat is between the main character and the debug functions of the mouse. It'd be optionally 2-player; the Nitrome style 2-player where both players use the same keyboard. There's knives and bats that you can use, or you can use your fists. Knives do double damage, bats have longer reach.I stole borrowed an idea for setting up blood from a flash game. The main character was based on my character in Saints Row 3. (Horror Pack DLC FTW.)Although I might scrap the game because I came to realize the similarities between the concepts of this game and of Hotline Miami.>Sociopath in an Animal Mask.>Murdering people with bats and knives.>Hallucinations.Ah well, at least I got some interesting drawings out of it.PS: Eva, I haven't forgotten our thing, I've drawn your character four times and I keep screwing it up. I want it to be good.

Though they're just about the same, I consider "rap" the mainstream BS that covers up the goldmine that is hip-hop, which is what I consider -true- rap. Aesop Rock is amazing btw, got introduced to him through a Tony Hawk game. You might wanna check out Minamina Goodsong, MF Doom, Wu-Tang (particularly Method Man, ODB, Ghostface Killer, and Raekwon), Psyche Origami, One Be Lo, and etc. Cause awesome rap definitely exists.NOW, the art. Dunno if I've ever told you this, but I love your style haha. Especially your pixel stuff, it's got a kind of unique dark and surreal style to it I really dig. That wolf has to be my favorite out the bunch.
I started listening to a bit of Zion I as well. But that is my style, lol.
Your art is pretty cool. I like. It always disappoints when 3D models don't look as cool as the concept sketches. But the 8-bit style is definitely cool too.
Wow. Those arts are awesome.
