I've made a bit of progress. If it wasn't for Super Meat Boy, I'd probably be done already. :PSo yeah, 17 levels to go for all 80 levels! 120 levels is just too much for me to make without losing interest, sorry. I still have to add in the story, music, menus, sound, and all that jazz. I'm a bit ADD, so I can't spend too long making the same game or I'll just quit. Thus, 80 levels it is!
Also note the debug GUI. lololololololol
Make backgrounds.
Uhm, don't jungles have trees and stuff?
Otherwise it looks like a blend between DA smileys, Super Meat Boy and Jumper.Isn't this an example edit? I could've sworn I've seen this before somewhere.
Not urban jungles!
JID, this is an example edit in the sense that I'm using Edmunn's platformer engine. The character sprite came with the engine, I just haven't drawn a new sprite yet. :P
Oh, okay.
I agree with Juju, please makebackgrounds. I can't see a platforming game being good without backgrounds.Hope to see you finish this. :)If you're going to use anti-aliasing (i.e. the saws), use it everywhere, or at least more often. Mostly referring to the spikes here. Consistency means a lot more than people think, especially if you're going for graphical simplicity as shown in these images.
I don't think he aaed those saw blades, if anything they're in mid rotation and he has color interpolation on. Also that's some ugllyyy ass lava sonnnnnnnn.
It looks AA'd because I blurred them. Only made sense, since they're always spinning. The original sawblade sprite isn't AA'd.
Also, by lava, do you mean radioactive goop? I know it is. :P
