Hey, anything is possible.
When i first envisioned Artifact it was a 3D game… maybe I can make it 3D. After losing it i was pissed off but maybe I should have scrapped it anyway.By the way… ROCKY RAN I haven't forgotten about the songs.///PROJECT ALCATRAZ///Yeah cn't wait to get back home and start working on that… one problem though: enemies. I don't really know what I'm going to do! Gaaa gamemaker's block.[EDIT:]Don't tag me for little content just yet; I'm writing some now.[EDIT:]I really need to move into 3D. this 2D thing, as much as I love it, is really limiting at the moment.Anyway I'll be back to add to this I gotta go sry[EDIT:]Ok sorry about all of that. Anyway, as far as Alcatraz goes, I'm really not sure what to do. As far as enemies, they're really hard to design especially for this setting… I need mutants and monsters. Alone, thats no problem… but Isometric and animated?? That's rediculously difficult even for me. Now, I was thinking basic reaccurring monsters but that makes no sense!! unless…. OOOH good idea: One species breaks loose (a simple character thats small and easy to animate) and multiplies like a bunny on crack. Hmm… yeah, I'm typing and brainstorming all at once.Oh shit. The Jren will be REALLY difficult to create. I don't want to half-ass any of it either so it'll be difficult…OH!!!They can be flying creatures vs. walking… oooh creative AND simple…I downloaded FL Studio 7 on this computer… Hey Rocky Ran I'll start on those songs… Based on the screens of your new game I'll make the songs a mix of what i do now and mix in alittle Ambience and oldschool sega stuff… Ok.
Didn't you say it was lagging in 2D?
Yeah… but it's a much simpler design here. I mesn the special effects with the water and the moon and the blue lighting were the major CPU killers and this little experiment isnt real 3D its sim3D
lawl
Artifact looked way better in 2D. Yeah, 3D is more "free," but 2D keeps things less complicated. And I'm not really a big fan of 2D objects in 3D worlds.
I hate making enemy sprites at a certain angle AND animated. All objects in Teleka are tilted towards you 45 degrees, and it's a pain keeping them in sync. Because of this, I like to animate them dynamically. Like, you have different sprites for the arms and such. Animation is mostly a series of angle changes anyway.I still don't have my FL7 regcode, so I'm stuck with 6, but do you happen to have any good VSTs? [:D]Oh yes, and remember, I will destroy you one day. Your demise is inevitable. Until then…*flies off on jetpack*But t'was so beautiful :<
Please, continue 2D, and also take part in creating 3D games.
