ABOUT

Antfest is an annual competition among game designers for the title of "Antfest's Best Game Designer 2006". This competition is designed to seek out the best talent in the Game Design Community. The award is a full article on the game and developer on the homepage and some HTML that shows an image of the winning game and developer, a link to the article, and a link to the homepage of Antfest Online. The game will be judged on:

1. Creativity and Originality

2. Depth and Content

3. Graphics and sound Quality

4. Interface and Gameplay

5. Replay Value

6. Mood and Feel

SUBMISSIONS

ALL SUBMISSION FORMS MUST BE MAILED TO: DarkSirrusGaming@hotmail.com

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE INCLUDED:

1. The link to executable and .gm6 file of the game

2. The name of the developer

3. The genre of the game

4. The file size in MB

5. A breif summary of the game.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

1. The game must be the work of the proclaimed Developer.

2. The game and game concept must be original. Fangames, remakes, and copies will be rejected.

3. The game must be created with a registered copy of Game Maker.

4. The content e.g. sprites, graphics, and sound fx must be somewhat original. Overuse of resource content and unoriginal content will lessen the game's quality.

5. The game should, but is not required to, not already be available online.

6. The game must not be low quality. The Developer should have atleast 6 months to a year of experience with Game Maker.

7. Drag'n'Drop and GML programmed submissions are both accepted. programming style is not included in evaluation.

8. The developer must read and agree to the User Agreement and the Disclaimer.

USER AGREEMENT

Any and all submitted work to Antfest 2006 is property of the developer and the responsibility of the developer. It is advised that the submitted work is protected by copyright law under the name of the developer. The developer runs the risk of his or her work being stolen.

DISCLAIMER

Antfest 2006 is not responsible for submissions that have been stolen or pirated. Though the risk is very low, IT is possible and it is advised all submissions have copyrights owned by the developer.
