Well, sir, it's been a very eventful couple of months in Badger Falls, where the men are pink-cheeked, the women are robust, and the children are pink-cheeked and robust.
First off, after 6 years of homeschooling, 4 of which were spent on a mountain far, far away from anyone I knew for the first 2 years, I was urged by my "counselor" (If he so can be called) to go to school, lest I go bonkers. It's actually been pretty good, despite my obvious anxiety beforehand, and I'm actually finding it MUCH easier than teaching myself via computer with little to no help: I've got something like a 97 in Physics and a 94 in Principles of Math. However, those are currently the only two subjects I'm taking, because I want to dip into it rather than just jump in, so I'm taking English and PE at home. Anyway, I've met all the stereotypes: The Big Leader Who Is An Unbearable Asshole, The Stoners, The Art Freaks, The Nerds (That one's exclusive to me and one other guy. We figure out binary and try to prove to our teachers why we should have gotten that question right, all during lunchtime). Anyway, onwards. So, y'all might remember me getting a computer left to me when my Dad's friend died, right? Well, turns out that he had SEVERELY overclocked it and burned a ton of the motherboard just from the heat, and the effects started showing up just last week. So, bye bye computer, and HELLO Intel Core i5 CPU with 6GB of DDR3 RAM, stocked with Windows 7! I just completely love this thing.I can FEEL the fan's coolness rather than the stinging heat.I can SEE the wonderful graphics of my games rather than having to set every graphic level down to get a 10 FPS frame rate.I can HEAR what I normally hear, because I kept my bass system, so nothing really interesting here.So this brings me to my final topic: My Star Destroyer. That's right, it's been a while, but since my computer was so ass-slow, it was really slowing down production having to do all those hull-plates.Not.Any.More.BITCH!http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8444/sdfullrender0003.pnghttp://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8887/sdfullrender0001.pngThose were rendered just yesterday, and you can see I have a long way to go, but since then I finished all the hull plates on the raised sections of the dorsal hull, so it's coming along. Something like ~69k polys when cut in half, but God, am I loving it…Which reminds me, George Lucas wants to remake the entire Star Wars hexalogy in 3D, and then begin production on episodes VII through IX. He's gonna get assassinated or something, I assure you, but more on that next time.-DarthvenderStar Destroyers and Computers and School, oh my!

Holy crap, that's an insane amount of detail you got there. It almost seemed like a plastic figure.
lol@George Lucas. He's still gonna make lots of money anyway, whether fans like it or not.Ahem.
You mean "Original Trilogy." "Prequel Trilogy" is Episodes I through III.And I can't get rid of that background. It's annoying. And don't ask about the binary. Let's just sweep that one under the carpet.(And I saw that punctuation error after I posted, but didn't think anyone would care. Changed it NOW though…)Sexy star destroyer.
I hope you go into 3D model design, you are very good.
The new remakes will have even more Ewoks.
Spicey renders there.Epic render. How long did that take?
@ Ferret: I was thinking of that, but I enjoy it so much that having it as my job might ruin it.
@ Eva: Around an hour for the program to set up the meshes/lighting/etc. and another half hour to actually render it.Also: Now added all 72 TIE Fighters within the ventral hangar bay!
