Many a times I've seen people asking how do you do this, and how do you do that, and you give them an answer, and they cuss you out because they don't understand your clearly, concisely commented code. (love alliterations)
What is it about lesser programmers that makes them think that we, by law or higher order, MUST ANSWER EVERY QUESTION that they care to throw out? I do my best, I try to make it easy.Just earlier, I got a message by someone who was posting in reply to a topic that wasn't even their, where I had given an answer about semi-realistic clouds using sprite_set_alpha_from_sprite. It generally consisted of all caps, and words that would give old people a heart attack. What is it that makes certain people think that everybody owes them something?
And I just got a reply saying, "Sorry if I sounded brutal", and he's acting as if I'm his best friend! Jeez!
dude its not just programmers, its PEOPLE.
I know. Why do they think they have to right to demand whatever they want? n00bie programmers in particular are the worst.
well, i'm suprisingly experienced in coding, but noone ever asks me a question. must mean all the n00bs in GML come looking for you, i suppose. bad luck of the proggrammer i suppose?
Amen.
dude, your games are amazing. You should be happy.
Try making an MMORPG example, then posting advice in MMORPG-related topics..
I get at least 10 PMs every day (and no, I am not exagerrating. The last time i didn't get at least 10 in a day was about a month ago, and it was so strange that I noted it) asking for advice. Most of the PMs are not even in straight English. So stop complaining.YOU. GOT. KORBY'D.
