So, what has DF been up to while 64D has been down?

Umm… things?

First off, been playing Minecraft a bunch lately. Damn you Cesque for showing that to me! It is sucking away countless hours of my life! Its fun, amusing, and lots to do.

Also, remember that flash game I was talking about? Its done, but I'm having Iluvfuz do some sweet graphics for it. P'raps I will post some images of what he's done, but not right now. Kudos to him for this!

What else? A month for those things? Nope! I also made a stable, expandable server system in C#. It even supports networking in flash, which is rather irritating to deal with. Damn you, cross-domain policy files! May you rot in hell now that I have defeated you! I've also made a nice client in flash to match (again, stable and expandable) because well, I have to have something to TEST with. I may make a demo game, and release it to the world at large because I haven't seen a single Flash Multiplayer API that isn't flawed in some way - they either force you to keep your game only on their site, or they have a fixed lobby system, or something. I made a server before, but it was rather…unbalanced. This is much nicer. Currently I'm making a php master server list to go with the package, which will go nicely with the rest.

Oh, also, I built a house. Well, the front of one anyway. I'm helping rebuild the front porch of our house, due to the fact that it was eaten by carpenter ants. And by eaten, I do mean eaten. I'm speaking of the fact that we had to remove the remains of two 6in by 12in beams that were almost completely gone. So basically, I've spent the last few days swinging a hammer or using various power tools. Its hard, but fun. The house is looking good.
