Holy crap, I've got a video!
This is just a video capture test of my Android game-in-development, showing an early view of the action. Here you can see 3 types of enemies in their 4 levels of incarnation - Quadlasers, Spitters, and Wavers. This video is a bit sped up, so it's a bit jerky. No sound recording at the moment.Next video will have a much longer run with more enemies, and actually show the powerups and stuff working (they don't right now cause I finally switched my lazy ass to a framerate-independant system and accidentally borked them). That and I actually need to make a test level with more stuff in it.EDIT:Also if anyone has any ideas on how to make the background more interesting that would be awesome.
Cool! I think the bullets should be a little more noticeable, other than that it looks awesome.
You made me realize that I can now record videos since I bought an audio cable.
Also, I'd love to see a more difficult version of the game. I know, I know. You'd have never guessed it from me.@Ferret don't worry - they get more noticable the stronger you get. Also, its easier to see them on an actual device
@Kilin also don't worry - thats just a level testbed for enemies and changes. The final game will have a lot more variation :DAdded this to main blog:Also if anyone has any ideas on how to make the background more interesting that would be awesome.Pass through space ports, pass over planets that are in the distance, pass through old destroyed ships, add a second layer of stars that moves slowly?
I spent more time watching the clouds than the game lol!
PrismQ? FUCK YOU DF, I CALLED PRISM FIRST.
/swat*ouch*
that hurt please don't swat me again:<The clouds were pretty mesmerizing, y'know.
Really, change the clouds. The colour shifts look unnecessarily trippy and are distracting. Maybe generate clouds of random colours one after another instead of making all clouds trip balls?
