First off, lets get this out of the way:

I am doing plugin stuff for Minecraft. Why? Because I can! Also, Steve's in London, so I can get away with anything… Well, mostly apples. Anyhow, anyone on minecraft recently has probably seen me screwing around with elemental snowballs, or participated in an explosive/lightning/whee snowball fight. Don't worry, I've added permissions to them, so only administrators, and administrator's pets can run amok with the minecraft equivalent of WMDs. Also, most of the effects are useful! Here's a list!

To get permissions, beg an admin to /permission grant [username] snowball [snowballtype]. Once you have been granted snowball permissions, say /snowball snowballtype.Then just throw a snowball. Snowball permissions are granted on a per-snowballtype basis.

Snowball types are;

explode - first thing that came to mind. Dangerous. Fun, in /testing world.

lightning - summons a strike of lightning. A little bit of damage, and a lot of fun. Lightning strike is AOE, so useful when surrounded by idiots… I mean mobs!

fire - sets things on fire. Useful for lighting dark areas temporarily. Still catches wood on fire (but fire only sets alight wood, and doesn't destroy it a la CheeseMod)

cow - summons cows wherever the snowball impacts. Will soon be replaced with /snowball mob [mobtype] so you can summon whatever you want.

torch - an incredibly useful snowball, places torches wherever the snowball impacts. Great for lightning up those hard to reach places

tree - grows a tree. Fails if it doesn't land on top of dirt.

whee - fun, and great for getting to high places. Launches things within 3 blocks of impact. Potentially deadly if it lands right at your feet.

-And a few secret ones for admins only.

I'll make it so some of the snowballs are available to everyone (AKA don't require granted permission) such as the torch and cow snowballs.

Now, I can start on my *real* minecraft plugin, which is a cross-device mobile minecraft administrator. I intend to make it for both Android (of which a few minecraft plugin/administrators already exist) and iPhone (of which zero minecraft administrator tools exist)
