Yep, I'm back.

So I messed up on the u-primitives thing by using ds_lists, well, I've fixed that.

There seems to be a bit of controversy over whethere designing my own functions to replicate registered functions is okay.

Lets go back to the "fake particle" craze - which brought up the question of whether or not Mark Overmars either A) was against replicating registered functions B) Didn't care or C) was glad that someone was coming up with their own scripts. I believe Mark stated that he did not really care, because we we weren't actually a registration key, just being smart enough to use what we could. I'm not quite sure what was exactly stated, but I know there was a general air of acceptance that stuff like this would happen.

Also, let us not forget that although it performs exactly like the registered, it is still slower, because GML is an interpreter. I say it is best to be registered.

Also, anyone with ingenuity could have done what I did, it only took a little bit of effort to make the u-scripts.

My camping trip was very good. I had chili-dogs, went swimming, got caught in the rain, and I wrenched my knee popping wheelies on my hybrid bike.

How?

I wheelied so far I flipped. Or more specifically, the bike flipped, I didn't. I tried to hold the bike so it wouldn't get damaged, and my knee bent sideways, so yeah, I was limping.

SJF is still in his week of silence - not a peep. Should we taunt him? It would sort of be like bearbaiting…

Blooharhar!

It's good to be back.

So what has happened while I was gone? Fill me in!

Bravo Eternal!.

Actually, I do have for a workaround on sprite_set_alpha_from_sprite. It's not as nearly as good as the registered function, but it approximates it in a limited but useful way..
