Not the usual normal, surface normal! Or normals.
Here, have a car! In that picture, it is using calculated surface normals because I wanted to test that. If the model has surface normals already, it can use them. Anyhow, the surface normals in the picture are transformed by the camera/world coordinates, and all I need to do to do actual lighting is a simple dot product and a few other things. After that, Phong (per-pixel) lighting is a few calculations away, and with that, bump-mapping just requires a normal map to apply. Also it loads Wavefront OBJ files now. Woot!—-I got promoted and hired permanently at my job at 55k salary, with a high probability (according to superiors) that I'll be moving up the ranks very quickly. Hurrah!Chronicle was a cool movie. Its feel was not at all what I'd expected, but somehow just as good as I'd hoped.Shutter Island was excellent. Leonardo is so serious all the time.More Adventure Time is always good.I watched Dr. Who Series 6 Pt 2, totally saw the series ending coming like 7 episodes ahead - still was awesome. Matt Smith is doing a very good job as the Doctor, although it is hard to beat David Tennant.I'm going to by an iPad 2 soon. Why 2 instead of 3? For testing reasons. Also, my friend/coworker wants to make a game with me and some artists. I haven't done game programming in months, so I think I'll take him up on his offer. That is all.
You'll need to supply a comment for that to be valid.
