Alright, today for christmas I got a LEGO Mindstorms NXT set and it is AWESOME. I have been messing with it almost all day. If anyone else out there also has this, you most likely know of the first robot you build/program, the TriBot. Well, since I R Noob with NTX I just took that after I build it, messed around with programming it, then I modified the TriBot into my own little creation. I have made a few programs for this robot. Here a a couple:
Smooth driving-senses walls about 3ft away an then smoothly turns. Edge sensing-senses the edge of a table, then backs-up and turns around to continue moving without falling off the table. Resposes-it moves around, when you stand in front of it, it says hello, then when you walk away, it says goodbye, and then continues on. Color Sensing-it moves around until it hits an object, it stops then says what color it is, then turns around and continues on. I have also made a few other ones but I refuse to put them on here because they suck, and they were like the very first ones I made. Also, if you have NXT, please post some of the stuff that you can do, so I can attempt it on my own. My imagination is very limited.
I always wanted one of those, but I guess I grew out of Legos a while ago.
I don't have NXT, but I have, I think the first one. I've made some pretty cool stuff with it. I've made the crane, if you know what I'm talking about.(It's on the box)
@kaz:I thought i did to until my dad got me this for x-mas, its quite fun to build and program ur own bots. soon im gonna make a bot to kick my sisters ass, lol
Heh, these aren't NXT, but they might still be inspirational:

Unless you were talking about a programming idea.I was in a robotics competition where our schools team used NXT to complete missions. We placed 7th out of 20.
