Reverse Pedaphile, Followup, and Food

=+Not-So Iron Chef+=

Well, my scout troop held an iron chef mockup today… it was somewhat awesome… it'd have been better if I didbn't have 10 idiot 'assistant' chefs constantly bugging me…

Anyhow, we were given a few ingredients and an hour to create something that looked and tasted good. My dish won in taste… but it lost in looks.

Here's what I can remember from the recipe I came up with…

1 Onion, small Diced

1 Bell pepper, small (green) Diced

1/2 Large tomato Chopped

1/2 cup beef (or other meat) Diced, rare to medium-rare

1 Banana, sliced (thick)

Peanut butter (optional)

2 Tortillias

Cheese, to taste

Cooking oil

Mix onion, pepper, and tomato in pan, simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring.

Fry banana in oil for around 10 minutes and begin cooking meat.

Mix 1/2 banana in with onion mix, keep on low heat for 5 minutes, then add meat.

Cook for 5 minutes to allow flavors to mix, then immediately put mix in tortillias and sprinkle cheese on top. (if you want peanut butter, spread it on tortillia first).

Serve immediately.

It may sound bad, but it tastes pretty good… a tad South American…

In other news:

Rule of thumb of the day:

Never eavesdrop on the girl you like's conversation with her best friend. You won't like what you hear… in my case, you find out that she's sort of a reverse pedaphile*… enough said there. I'm not so sure if I can bring myself to asking her out now… but I danged well still like her…

Follow up to yesterday's blog:

While we were cleaning up the woods, we found: A pair of pants, a traffic cone, a 1970's beer can, a couple of old cars buried in a pile of dirt, and a ton of other random stuff.

* aka she thinks her friend's dad is 'hot', then sh went on to explain that by saying someone is hot doesn't mean she likes the person (thank god), but it's just like saying that someone looks handsome… a tad odd, but I can respect her opinion…

@Kaz… yeah… I have (now) =P

Anyhow… it's getting to the point that I'll either give up or ask her out… I hate this… I think too much.

Thought that word sounded familiar. I think I remember it from Global Studies back in like 8th grade.

@omicron: Ouch… that'd hurt…
