Life and {MAIL}

Ok, to start things off, here's a new link to MAIL…

I've added quite a bit.

GAMELINK

Controls

Switch views: enter

Cycle rooms: shift

In the rooms that you can play (2nd, 3rd, and 4th)

wsad and mouse to move, MLB to shoot (toward mouse)

1) Improved Motion Planning for AI

2) Three Maps with ability to actually play as a soldier/tank

3) New AI class~ Minelayers… there's no minesweepers yet, so things get pretty nasty thanks to them sometimes

Let's see… other things about mail… I've gotten my faced fragged off by the AIs multiple times (a gang of Anti Tank AIs ganged up on me when I was a typical infantryman… not pretty). I've also run around 400 of the more advanced AIs without lagging… which brings me to a question: After playing it (which I hope you have), do you think I should eventually turn it into an RTS, or a TDS with large armies facing each other? Also, should it be made online, eventually?

I envision some sort of somewhat massive multiplayer system (up to, say, 32 players?), in which you can choose which side to be with and fight alongside a few hundred AIs… and I think I may actually have what it takes to bring this there…

Only problem: I'll be overshadowed by Conflict the whole time I'm developing it… and Conflict has over a year's head start on me…

As for other 'stuff'…

1)I need a new razor… I shaved off part of my cheek while shaving this morning… stupid 30 cent razors…

2)I found out that if I don't have my microphone plugged into my computer, my sound card stops working. Stupid thing…

3)I got a box down off of my closet shelf today by spearing it with a… spear that I have lying around. (I collect all sorts of old weapons: Guns, Swords, Spears… knives… you name it.)

I wish you good luck on you're game. In my opinion the only hard part about big projects is the ability to stay motivated.

@Weapons laying around: XD You're going to accidentally stab/cut yourself. (Not counting with razors…)

Thanks… and yeah, motivation is a killer… that's why I work mostly on team projects… that way there's other people to help keep me going…
