Well… first things first: I just got back from the dance, and this is initially what happened (these last few days). I tried approaching her a yesterday (day after I called her), and she avoided me. Not good. Today, I tried again before the dance. Avoided. Not good.
At the dance, I was discouraged and wasn't planning on talking to her for a bit… to get myself phyched up for it… Anyhow, about a minute later, my friend grabs me, drags me over to her, I try saying hi, she walks off. Then my friend goes and talks to her friend… they both try shoving us towards each other. We both end up running opposite directions (mistake). Then my friend walks over, talks to her, and comes back… apperantly, she just said that she'd look forward to seeing me at the dance so I wouldn't be upset. I admire her attempt at making things easy for me… but, in the long run, it wasn't good. Now I'm all depressed…The rest of the dance was ok, I hung out with friends, sort of me on one side, her on the other, neither of us making a move. I hate my life, sometimes. Wait a sec… what life?
In other news: I'll probably be unable to sleep tonight, so I might try pulling together a demo release of MAIL… though I wouldn't expect it for the next couple of weeks. Also, I'm testing to see if I can use HTML yet…
Also, a 'poll' of the day: Do you think I should make mail an…1) Ticket/Reinforcement-Based TDS2) Mission Based TDS3) Mercinaries-Like RPGish TDS4) Something more original that I may think ofAlso, should I try to make it multiplayer?
Man, sorry to hear things didn't work out for you. At least she didn't want to disappoint you…
Yeah… thanks. We'll probably be back to being friends withing a couple of weeks… I mean, it would've been nicer had she just said no, or something along those lines… though she was trying to be nice… which I respect…
sounds like u got screwed….maybe try not to be so shy, she seems nice enough, it shouldnt be that hard. Its not like your being pushed just give her some small talk and be yourself. In time you two will pull together closer and closer.
This sounds exactly like a middle school dance. My advice? Date if you both like each other. Have sex if you both want a good time.
(BTW wait till high school to do anything)@Foslock: Yep, it was a middle school dance… that's all I'm commenting on as to your post.
