Small Question

Posted by ESA on Dec. 26, 2007, 2:38 a.m.

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you all had a good day yesterday. I got lots of great gifts:

-Victorianox jacknife

-A pair of ray-bans

-Some novels

-Jimi hendrix cd collection (yes!)

-Blues collection

-Turkish (national team) football jersey

-Lots of candy

And next sunday I will hopefully get my laptop.

The question I wanted to ask was if anyone knows how to get .mod or .xm files to play in game maker. If anyone wanted to make a retro game or clone of some old game, this would be very useful to have as music. I know how to convert mods and xms to mp3, but that increases the filesize (a lot!) Although I am not making a retro/clone, I am curious about how to do this because I have always wanted to have chiptunes in my games. Does anyone else like chiptunes? My favorites are Estrayk's.

Have a great new year everyone!

MODs and XMs? You need DLLs. JBFMOD, to be precise. Go to gmnl.parahosting.com (or .org, not sure). There should be a download link for JBFMOD there.

If the above doesn't work, google JBFMOD

Thanks F1ak3r!

Yup JBFMOD is an engine to use. There is another DLL around, but JBFMOD is probably the best.

Thanks to you Juju too. I'll definitely give it a try. Oh, and I noticed you "favorite user-ed" me. Thanks! I add you too.
