Lazy Rut Days

I haven't really done much these past two weeks, which is pretty disappointing. Hangouts, sleep, food, LoL, music, anime. You'll notice that art isn't really in there.

So I figure I'd post a couple of the things I've done / changed and use that as a springboard to getting me back on track. Also as a side note, Eva's art is pretty damn amazing (but you already know that), and was great for reminding me to at least do something each day.

Asked about the background to this awhile go in IRC and didn't really get a response from those online. Tried a few things but thought they were too messy and didn't really fit the pasty feel so I left it that way.

Then I tried something with a similar process but experimenting a bit more with color:

Really not sure what I think of this yet. I kind of just threw the color together, and I can't even type a decent commentary on that right now. I guess I just need to sit back and stare at the thing for a bit and decide what I'm going to do with it.

In other news, I have an enormous bug bite on my left hand near the knuckles, and now I can't curl my hand. It hurts like hell, especially when typing, and I can't play any instrument (guitar/bass/piano/drums) which is pretty annoying with music being one of my big hobbies.

Over a month 'til school starts and most of my peeps be leaving in the next few weeks, so it looks like a slower month up ahead.

Nah just brush strokes in Autodesk Sketchbook.

I use SBP too, one of the very few (only?) programs out there that have a circular ruler AND X and Y symmetry. Do you know how damn useful that is for artists in my field?

Anyways, I dig the arts, man. I thought they were filters at first myself, but if not, that's an interesting technique you got right there. Nice use of color too.

Hope ya keep updating, I don't wanna have to bring all the artists back from the dead all the time, lol.
