Mudvayne - Dig
WOOT! Love that band, can't go wrong with Not Falling or hell..anything else.I don't know wtf is up with their newer album though, I mean I like some of the songs but why do all my fave bands that are so heavy early on get so soft later? Ugh, soggy bands. Do not want.Anyway. As it occurs to me, I forgot an AO render for my gun last time. So here. Have fun.I'm still working on the soldier, but to take a break from it. I started a new model based off one of my old drawings from 2008.Original old picNew front and side sketches for planes in to model with.Progress so far…*click picks for the larger view*This was just a texture test after I practiced UV unwrapping.
*first*
Kewl Render.Lol thanks. AO renders are all I know how to do…I don't have Vray or anything. Not that I have any idea how to use it.
Links fail.
Is that backpack/camo texture from HL1 or CS? It reminds me of it.Lol my bad, I just took the code from a forum I go to and posted it here guessing it'd work. Links should be fixed now.
Anyway, nah the texture is just from some random Army vest that I have in a reference folder. When I start working on a 3D game, I'mma blackmail you/hold you hostage to make you do awesome 3D models for me.
Nice models! Much better than I'm capable of at least ;)
@DesertFox: Can I just do em without the kidnapping?
@Aerson: Thanks bro, I think I've gotten a bit better since the last few times lol.Ok, SO. Today is epic because I got a wayyyyyy better understanding of UVW unwrapping than I have before. Here's the uvmap and the model with checker material to show it.I have to go back over it though, messed up a seam as you can see at the bottom of the map. That green line is a plane I missed lol.Lovely! Can't wait to see the results of this!
Great job skinning the model! The UV mapping is what always held be back with 3d modeling. I could never get it right and I would always end up getting to aggravated to follow through and complete the job properly.
