Sound The Horns

Getting back on track with my usual art blogs, I have actual worthy content this go around.

I decided to try and exercise my Zbrush skills this go around. This saves me a lot of time getting the anatomy completely right off the bat, so I can skip right to the design aspects.

This is a little sketchover of the Zbrush model of how I wanted the armor and accessories to look.

I tried and tried AND TRIED to do the armor and accessories in Max and Zbrush, but I just couldn't. So there was only one thing I could really do here; draw it all.

I exported a pic from Zbrush of the model in a 3/4 view, which is how I often do a lot of my concepts.

The model was done using Zspheres and a couple different standard tools.

Working with the anatomy and initial design sketch in mind, I lowered the model opacity, and began working in Photoshop

This is what I have so far.

I'm gonna be tweaking the design a bit more, then I'll actually color it.

@Kilin, some people have higher standards than others when it comes to posting blogs here. :P

and sketching over your models i see, interesting. extraordinary results as per usual. :)
