Lottery (Commissions open... cause I need money)

Posted by Eva unit-01 on Nov. 23, 2013, 1:18 p.m.

Appropriate blog title, cause that's what it feels like I've hit.

I've basically been drawing and painting non-stop since last week.

So yea, I don't usually blog very often, and that's because I don't make a blog unless I have a considerable amount of stuff that's worth showing in the first place. Seeing as though this is my third blog in one month… yea. Something basically FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT in my head, and I love it.

I'm not gonna waste many words, instead I'll just drop a comment on each piece and be done with it.

I couldn't draw women at all before this week. So here's one of my first attempts with confidence in a very long time. Yes, FSX, that's a Chiapa Rhino snub.

I drew Danny Brown, and still have to finish this piece.

One of these again.

Another.

Annother.

Annnother.

Annnnother.

Another photobash

And finally this.

I've also made a "How do draw faces" tutorial, but it's so big I'll just link it if anyone's interested.

K… now I'll just be uh.

Yesplz. I just need enough so I can have the funds to finish my Type and Layout class final next week. I can't even pay my internet that's been due for 5 days now, lol.

Definitely true.

But I'm being honestly desperate right now, which is why the prices are sooo soooooo low, I'm also relatively unknown, it's not like I'm some bigtime popular hotshot out there. If I can make the amount I need by attracting sleezebag clients and giving them sleezebag quality, so be it. I wouldn't be doing those prices if I didn't need anything ASAP.

But yea, thanks for that. I always try and keep it in mind, it's just been a tough few days.

Fortunately I already have one awesome (unnamed) client that contacted me earlier for a piece pretty much triple the price, lol. So that's one spot full.

I'm a not-so-wealthy game designer, but I think you could multiply that price ten times for your talent (probably quite a bit more). I'd personally be happy with paying anything in the $10-20 range for a quick concept sketch or two (though goddamn, that could add up fast for the both of us).

"If you don't respect yourself, others won't respect you."

Yknow, this is again very true. I usually play myself off as modest, but I've also been told I'm -too- modest, so much that it starts to work against me. I don't like charging more than I think my work's worth, and a lot of the time I don't even consider myself worthy of hanging around with those big dogs :/

I think I need to readjust my confidence meter or something. But for starters I've raised the prices in my blog up to $10-20.

You always got some of the best words to spare, lol.

@Killin: Quick concepts are my favorite kinds of concepts (even if they take hours), lol. If you wanna hit me up just drop a message or something and we'll negotiate.

Dude, don't do commissions for less than $10. You're wasting your own time.

$10 - Quick sketch (10min )

$25 - Quick Design - Line Art (25min)

$50 - Design (1hr)

$100 - Commision (Up to 3hr)

$250 - Large-size Commision or Vector (No time estimation)

^^ I would say that the above would be CHEAP prices.

Think about it like this: If you get a THIRD the amount of buyers for $10 a pop, you make the same amount of money. And that's just for the cheapest one!
