Part I - Santana
Two days ago, on Friday, April 4th, 2008, I attended a concert by guitarist Carlos Santana. It was amazing. If you do not know of Carlos Santana, here is a brief rundown of him: Carlos Santana was born in Mexico, then moved to San Fransisco at a relatively young age, where he learned to play guitar. A few years later, he became one of the greatest guitarists in the world. The end.Anyway, so I saw him in concert, it was amazing, not just him, but his entire band (Consisting of three guitarists, three drummers, two lead singers, a keyboardist, and a bassist). The show was extremely loud, I was unable to hear for several hours afterword, but it was definitely worth it.Part II - HumanI finally successfully patched my uxthemes DLL in Windows, so I decided to go through and convert, as accurately as possible, the Windows interface into Ubuntu (Pokemon stats: Height: 2'1'' Weight: 24 kg Type: Penguin/Ice)'s interface. The result is quite nice, but I find it insufficient. I really wish Windows' taskbar was more flexible, so that I could add widgets and the like. I really want to make the start menu like Ubuntu's applications menu, as well as add "places", and the other menu, which I forget. What I want more than that, is to add a separate taskbar for minimized windows, just like Gnome has. If you have any ideas of how I could do this, please tell me.Reunited with his Modreator and 1K badges,-Halibutski
What about the guitarists of Dragonforce? They seem to play more notes per… whatever amount of time you count in, while being just as organized. Go ahead, shoot me if you don't agree.
Ha, the problem is that Dragonforce isn't music.
You metalfucks can only appreciate talented guitarists by how many notes they can play per second, not how good their music sounds.
If you are into the fast playing, check out Brad Gillis of Night Ranger. His speed is pretty amazing.
Dragonforce is fast, but only moderatly technical.
metalfucks appreciate how the guitar sounds, which is only sometimes associated with how fast they play. Listen to some Children of Bodom or something; metal is generally fast AND technical, requiring quite a fair bit of talent.Metal ruined my mind. I am now impressed by generic rock solos, and technical solos mean nothing to me anymore.
The best instrumental solos come from Acid Rock…think "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida." Music doesn't get much better than Psychadelia.
