Rather Unfortunate

Today, it seems, my one good friend back in Alaska got hit by a large truck while dirtbiking. Apparently his fuel tank exploded, sending him up in flames. 80 percent of his body has been burned. Not only that, but the collision of the truck completely shattered his pelvis and pushed his bladder into his chest. He was still alive though, and he was quickly flown to Seattle, Washington where they prepared to operate. They were unable to operate immediately because he was in too much shock. I don't know his current status.

If you think you or your friends are invulnerable, or that nothing will ever happen to you, think again.

Edit: Turns out that he was burned 30 percent, not 80, and he was flown to Anchorage, not Seattle. Other than that, I have no more news.

He's going to have a VERY tough life for at least the next 10 years. Broken pelvis, many degrees burns and organs out of place pretty much reduce your chances of surviving.

I actually hope he dies, wanna know why? That would easy his pain a lot. I would prefer to die than live the rest of my life with such pain.

Eh… That's terrible. I wish I had more to say than just 'good luck'.

I would actually have to consider that as an option.

I'm sorry.
