64digits Merchandise

Posted by F1u on Dec. 15, 2007, 11:55 p.m.

Hey guys, as some of you may know, Arcalyth has a little fund for himself going. It's the "Get Arcalyth a 360" fund. He has a paypal, and is asking for people to donate, and as you would expect not many people on here are. And no, it's not that we don't like Arcalyth, it's that 1. We don't get anything out of it, and 2. We fricking met him online.

So i came up with an idea. And i wanna nkow if you guys would go for this. I talked to him about this, but he didn't think anyone would buy. I was thinking that maybe, just maybe he should set up a 64 digits store.

For those of joo who are all, "Omg Leik howz hee gone do tHt?" theres a site, cafepress.com, that allows you to create your own merchandise, and sell it to people online via paypal. I think this solves the whole, what do we get out of it deal, but what i was wondering, was if anyone on here would buy?

Like mousepads for sure, and believe me, if you guys say you'd buy, i'd spend a lot of time making them worthwhile with cool designs and stuff, but i was thinking other stuff to.

Sooooo….. would anyone buy 64 digits merchandise?

Or for the "get Zane a graphics card fund?"

I would buy it. And if I couldn't, then I would just make it myself.

Hell no, for starters 64digits is pretty much an unknown, tiny site. Only 4000 users, of which probably only 500 logged on this month.

ok? so something has to be popular for you to enjoy it? You keep coming back, don't you? Therefore you have to like it a little bit.

Wow, you're stupid if you don't know what that means. YOU WEAR MERCHANDISE BECAUSE THE STUFF IS POPULAR! You wouldn't wear a shirt wearing a giant unknown logo to school. Plus, that'll flood in the nubs. Also, the fact that the merchandice has to be premade before sold means there will be many, many leftovers. Nobody here will buy it. No consumers, no market.

Well, there's no way in hell I would wear a 64Digits T-shirt. And to be frank, I wouldn't even consider buying a 64Digits mousepad.

Though I respect the suggestion :)

>_>

I don't buy stuff online. If I wanted mousepads and stuff, I'd go to the store. Besides that, you'll have to get a whole shipping thing going on.

It's a complicated deal. Be sure you're up to it.

My support? I don't really like buying things online. Sorry.

Also, f1u, sometimes people come back to blogs to see what happened to them, seeing if staff took over and hated the idea. Quite fun. It's not whether or not we like the idea, really.

Well even if this falls through, prolly more like when this falls through, at least it was a good blog in informing people of a site where they could design their own things.

It's also an interesting form of publicity.

Whoa, what's that 64Digits mousepad for?
And the T-shirt, though better for publicity, is just too much to ask of a poor supporter.

The idea is silly. Interesting, but I don't see it happening.

Wait…who did this inform?

And mousepads are only needed for rollermice. My optical mouse works quite well on a plank of scratched desk

let's set up a pyramid scheme instead
