Not sure most of you know, but my dream is to eventually become a DP (Director of Photography) on the set of an independent film. I take movies seriously, and they are my passion. My inspirations are mostly Stanley Kubrick and Alfred Hitchcock.
2001: A Space OdysseyOne of, if not possibly the greatest science fiction film ever created. Enough said.Rear WindowOne of my favorite thrillers Hitchcock has ever done. A brilliant story that gave birth to it's current version, Disturbia.The ShiningMy favorite of Kubrick's horror films. Jack Nicholson gives the performance of a lifetime here, he just fits the role of the tormented so great.The Shawshank RedemptionThis is a simple movie, but the message is timeless. This one will move you.The GodfatherBeing an Italian, this one for me is just an awesome movie in general. There are so many elements that make the story that there seems too much to count.There you have it.
The Shawshank Redemption = Yes.
Still need to see A Space Odyssey.Watch it, and watch it again. Then watch it again. It's a bit confusing, but once you get the message, it becomes one of the best movies ever made.

2001, is, by the way, the greatest movie of all time (you forgot to mention that)Rear Window is my favorite Hitchcock film, it and Vertigo. The Godfather is also quite good.
