Interested in a hotseat co-op game?

Hey everyone. I started work on a hosteat co-op game this morning, and I wanted to show off a little of what I did this morning and see if there is any interest in the idea. The basic premise is a hotseat co-op platforming title with a heavy focus on user-generated content created via the in-game (easy to use) level editor.

Here are two videos, one with me discussing the idea and one without, playing a bit more with the level editor.

Video one, with me talking about some ideas.

Video two, playing more with the level editor.

Is GM for Mac actually useable these days? Last time I tried it wasn't even functioning, and that was supposed to be an open beta - I was so disgusted I didn't bother having another look.

I didn't watch the videos, but I often like to play 2-Player (hotseat) games. So go for it! :D

Toast, I had tried using it in the beta as well and it was awful. Gave it another shot and it's usable in it's current state. We're one version behind the Windows counterpart at the moment, but I was always fine with GM6 to be honest, so I'm happy. It's a bit clunkier and it's got a few kinks that need to be worked out, but I'm glad I have it.

Interesting stuff. I bet with some nice backgrounds that some people can make on this site, and also some music as well it would turn out pretty nice.

Id say if you come up with a few nice challenges, peices that do things, and some story to it, it would turn out great.

I had made a hotseat game way back in highschool, was super fun to go over to my friend's house and play it with him. I tried to show it to 64D once though, no body liked it or didn't respond because it looked like crap and no one had a willing person next to them to play it.

^Thats most of the problem. But if it is nice then people will play. Though I would make some way of playing by yourself, even if it isnt as good as the co-op.
