I need to know. Who here actually plays guitar? Just starting or has played for a while, doesn't matter. I just wanna know.

The problem is my recording solution is really bad for it and it'll sound like crap but hey, whatever.Edit1: If this is too short, tell me before getting rid of it and I'll beef it up.
I play guitar, i've been self teaching myself for a couple years now-not religously though. I only play what comes along and if i'm not lazy at the moment. =P I don't have any recordings at the moment, i'm gonna compose first then record what i write. I need to get a better mic, but i was able to find a very good recording program. Kristal Audio Engine is where it's at. It's very good, 1000x better in terms of what you can do than windows sound recorder. Plus, it's free. =) It exports as a .wav file.
dBPowerAmp is a free tool you can use to convert the file to whatever you want. The .mp3 license wears out after a while though, but i just convert it to .wma.I'll remember that thanks.

I play <i>bass</i> guitar, and when I say "play" I secretly mean "can almost play 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' well enough to be considered a beginner, and who mostly piddles around trying to play the FLCL soundtrack and various bits from DOOM." And I'm self-taught because my parents were like "we'll buy you lessions if you get a B average," and then I get a B average and they're like "Oh…we meant a B <i>minimum</i>," and I'm like "But…there was that evil English teacher who gave me a bad grade on a report because I frikkin' typed 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_put' instead of 'www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_put', which would have been incorrect, but she thought otherwise and thus gave me a C for a final grade," and they were like "…meh!" Thus, I'm self-taught.
